Return, Replacement & Refund Policy

At Mianzi, we take immense pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our handmade bamboo products. Every item is created by skilled artisans using time-honoured techniques, followed by rigorous quality checks to ensure that what reaches you is free from defects and crafted to endure.

We understand, however, that issues may occasionally arise. This policy outlines the conditions under which returns, replacements, and refunds may be requested. It has been designed to balance transparency, industry compliance, and the delicate nature of artisan-made goods.

1. General Return & Replacement Terms

To initiate a return or replacement, the following conditions must be met:

- The request must be submitted within 3 calendar days of delivery.

- The product must be unused, uninstalled, unwashed, and in its original packaging with labels and tags intact.

- The product must be inspected upon receipt and any concerns reported within the stipulated timeframe.

We encourage customers to handle all Mianzi products with care from the moment of delivery, and to retain packaging materials until final placement or installation.

2. Items Not Eligible for Return or Replacement

The following are non-returnable and non-refundable, except in the case of verified damage or a mismatch with the product description:

- Customized or made-to-order products.

- Products marked as final sale, part of exclusive collections, or listed as non-returnable/replacement-only in their description.

- Electrical components such as bulbs, wires, and adapters.

- Cash-on-delivery (COD) orders (eligible only for credit note/voucher, not refund).

- Products that have already been exchanged once.

3. Replacement Policy

If the product received is physically damaged or has a clear manufacturing defect, a replacement may be requested under the following terms:

- The request must be submitted within 3 calendar days of delivery.

- You must email clear photographs and a brief description of the issue to contactus@mianzi.in.

- The product must remain unused and uninstalled at the time of request.

Note for Custom Orders:
Customized items can only be replaced if the issue is reported before installation. Once installed or modified, they are no longer eligible.

Mianzi reserves the right to reject claims that do not comply with these conditions or result from improper handling post-delivery.

4. Return Shipping & Reverse Pick-up

We strive to make returns as seamless as possible:

- If your pin code is eligible for reverse pick-up, our logistics partner will arrange collection within 4 business days of approval.

- If not serviceable, you may be requested to self-ship the item securely.

Return address:
To ensure efficiency, the return address will be shared with you by our customer care team during the return initiation.

Please ensure:

- The item is packed in its original Mianzi packaging.

- A printed return slip, emailed to you by our team, is securely attached to the package.

- Adequate cushioning is used to prevent in-transit damage.

Mianzi will not be liable for damage or loss during return transit in cases of self-shipping.

5. Refund Policy

Refunds will be initiated only under the following circumstances:

- Genuine manufacturing defects verified by Mianzi.

- Shipment of incorrect product.

- Parcel lost in transit (subject to logistics confirmation).

Refund Methodology:

Prepaid Orders: Refunds will be credited to the original payment method (credit card, UPI, net banking) within 7–10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.

- COD Orders: Eligible for a store credit/e-voucher only. Cash refunds are not available.

No Refunds Will Be Issued If:

- The return request is made after 3 days of delivery.

- The product is returned in a used, damaged, or installed condition.

- The address provided is incorrect or incomplete.

- The customer refuses delivery or there are three failed delivery attempts.

- Slight color, grain, or surface variations are observed—natural in all handmade products.

6. International Orders

We currently do not offer returns or exchanges on international shipments.

In case of receipt of a damaged or incorrect product, please email contactus@mianzi.in within 3 days of delivery. You may be asked to provide images and a description.

Please note:

- Duties, taxes, or return shipping charges for international returns will not be covered by Mianzi.

- No damage claims will be accepted after 5 days of receiving the shipment.

7. European Union Orders

If your product is shipped to a country within the EU, you are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period in accordance with EU law.
You may return your order within 14 days of delivery, provided that:

- The item is unused, in its original packaging.

- You provide proof of purchase.

The customer is responsible for all international return duties and taxes, unless the item is defective or incorrect.

8. Repeated Returns and Abuse Prevention

To maintain fairness and product integrity, Mianzi reserves the right to refuse returns from customers with an unusually high return frequency (defined as more than three returns in a financial year).
