A story all about transformation
The Metamorphosis by Mianzi is a story all about transformation. Engineered from bamboo, these sui-generis handmade ceiling lamps prospect modularity in lighting. The dynamic linear geometry of this lamp resonates liveliness as if a regal element from the Tomorrowland. The woven bamboo shades with spruce curves add an element of playfulness to the minimalist tubular metal structure. Apart from diffusing warm light, the central fabric component acts as a structural monolithic core.
Inspired by “metamorphosis”, the different modules of the lamp can be rearranged to form several different combinations and alignments, transforming the design structure completely.

Metamorphosis Pendant Lamps
The Metamorphosis Pendant Lamps are the response to the research we undertook into developing veritably modular lights which can easily be transformed into different forms, using bamboo. It builds upon that research and allows us to apply structural exploration to come up with a unique kind of handmade lighting. The different forms of Metamorphosis Pendant Lights are made from the different combinations of the same 8 molds of the lampshade. The warm color palette and natural textures of bamboo work beautifully on these metamorphosizing pendants like caterpillars glinting in their shiny chrysalis, redefining your space.

Inspired by “metamorphosis”, this futuristic collection by Mianzi delivers you a chance to play with the structure of the lamp and select the exploration which manifests your stimulating character, and your distinct personality to your space.
Engineered from the varied combinations of the same eight shade molds, these uniquely conceptualized lamps molt themselves into a shiny new structure as if a caterpillar spinning itself in a silky cocoon in each exploration. Each structure is distinct in its form though made from the same basic molds.
The linear structure of these elegant bamboo lights makes them a perfect addition to your bar counter or dining space.
